Sustainability at the Core of Our Operations
Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP) is deeply committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations. As a pioneer in sustainable palm oil production, we implement eco-friendly practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect biodiversity. Our efforts are guided by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification standards, which we have fully integrated into our operational model.
Protecting High Conservation Value (HCV) Areas
At TOPP, we are dedicated to preserving the natural environment surrounding our plantations. We actively protect high conservation value (HCV) areas, ensuring that our operations do not encroach upon fragile ecosystems. Our biodiversity conservation efforts include reforestation projects and the protection of endangered species that call these areas home.
As part of our commitment to combatting climate change, TOPP adopts best practices in land management to reduce our carbon footprint. We use organic waste from our palm oil processing as biomass, a renewable energy source, to minimize our reliance on fossil fuels. By employing sustainable farming techniques, we contribute to global efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Water and Soil Management
TOPP is committed to responsible water and soil management to ensure the long-term sustainability of our plantations. We implement advanced irrigation techniques that reduce water usage, while also practicing soil conservation methods that maintain soil fertility and prevent erosion.
