HON. GEORGE BOAHEN ODURO

Chairman

Mr. George Oduro Boahene is a firm managing director most familiar with the running of professional service business environments with great focus on client service delivery balanced with procedural requirement for effective and equally efficient results. He has considerable knowledge in Operations and Project Management and experience in administrative management.

He is the former MP for the New Edubiase Constituency and the Special Advisor to the Minister of Food and Agriculture on cocoa affairs. He is also the former Deputy Minister, Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

Mr. Oduro Boahene holds an MBA international trade from the Anhalt University in Germany, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Operations and Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Royal Society of Accountancy (RSA III) from the Kumasi Polytechnic.

MR. DANIEL KOJO NYAME

Managing Director

Daniel Kojo Nyame is a seasoned planter with 14 years operational experience in palm oil plantations in the West African subregion. Daniel holds a degree in Agric from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK

His experience spans across total plantation from Estate management, Nursery development, Factory management, Finance, business development and driving transformational growth. He is the immediate past General Manager of Volta Red Limited where he led the transformation of the company into a profitable agroprocessing entity.

Daniel is passionate about the incorporation of modern cost effective and sustainable agricultural trends that increase productivity and efficiency in the operations of plantations.

MR. DAVID CLOTTEY COLLISON

Mr. David Klotey Collison is the Acting Coordinating Director, (Technical) at the Ministry of Finance. He joined the Civil Service as an Assistant Budget Analyst at the Ministry of Finance in December, 1995. Until his recent appointment as Coordinating Director (Technical), he was the Director in charge of the Public Investment and Assets Division of the Ministry of Finance during which period he led reforms in the State Owned Enterprises Sector, Asset Management, Public Investment Management and Public Private Partnerships (PPP).

Prior to being the Director for Public Investments and Assets in May 2017, Mr. Collison was the Group Head for Budget Development and was responsible for Compensations

of Employees Management, Non-Tax Revenue and Coordination of the National Budget Development Process from February, 2015. He has also worked in various capacities as a Budget Analyst in the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance and at the Sub National level specifically in the then Ga District Assembly and Dangme West District Assemblies.

Mr. Collison graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture, majoring in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana in 1993 and also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance option) from the same university in 2001. He is a Member of the World Association of PPP Units and Professionals and is an APMG International Certified PPP Professional.

PROF. ERIC YIRENKYI DANQUAH

Eric Yirenkyi Danquah holds a professorship in Plant Genetics at the University of Ghana (UG). He is a former Dean of International Programmes and a former Director of the Biotechnology Centre at UG. As the founding Director of the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI), UG, since 2007, he has been pivotal in training a new generation of plant breeders focused on enhancing staple crops for Africa. His role extends internationally as an Adjunct Professor at Cornell University, USA, the University of Western Australia, and Murdoch University, Australia. Danquah was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the African Plant Breeders Association (APBA), serving as its first president. He contributes his expertise to various international boards across the globe.

Danquah’s research interests lie in identifying beneficial genes/traits to enhance staple crops across Africa. He has secured over US$40 million in funding, leading to significant advancements including the development of world- class infrastructure for plant breeding education at UG. His contributions to agricultural development include 166 peer-reviewed journal articles and the release of improved maize and tomato hybrids in Ghana.

Danquah achieved his BSc degree in Crop Science from the University of Ghana and furthered his studies with an MPhil in Plant Breeding and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Cambridge, UK. His work has earned him several accolades, including the UG Distinguished Award for Meritorious Service in 2014, the 2018 Laureate, Global Confederation of Higher Education Associations in Agriculture and Life Sciences (GCHERA) World Agriculture Prize, and the 2022 Laureate, Africa Food Prize. In 2023, and 2024, Reputation Poll International recognized him as one of the 100 most Reputable Africans. The African Genius Awards also honoured him with an Outstanding African Achiever Award in 2023. Under his leadership, WACCI has grown into a beacon of excellence, enrolling 160 PhD students from 19 African countries and boasting 111 graduates who are now at the forefront of national agricultural research initiatives across the continent. His influence extends beyond academia through his commitment to fostering global educational links and having a profound impact on food security and sustainable development in Africa and beyond.

OSEADEEYO KWASI KENNIN IV

Oseadeeyo Kwasi Kennin IV is a native and a royal member of Atti Morkwaa Ahenkro in the Atti Morkwa Traditional Area. Nana Kennin IV is a successful businessman who has been in the timber industry for over 40 years now. Nana is currently the Omanhene and president of Atti Morkwa Traditional Council, and a member of National House of Chiefs. He served as the Board Chairman of Twifo Rural Bank Ltd for two consecutive terms and now serving as a board member of Forestry Commission, Redd plus for Ghana’s climate change and Twifo Oil Palm plantation company LTD. Twifo Oil Palm Plantations LTD is situated on a land granted by Oseadeeyo Kwasi Kennin IV through his benevolence.

He holds a certificate in Electrical Engineering from Takoradi Polytechnic now Takoradi Technical University and also obtained part III certificate from University of Mines.

MS. ADELIADE FIAVOR

Independent Non-Executive Director

Adelaide Fiavor is a Chartered Risk Insurance Manager, ACII UK, holds an Executive MBA in Project Management, from the University of Ghana Business school (UGBS), BBA (Hons) in Banking & Finance, Methodist University College GH., and a Diploma in Insurance from the West African Insurance Institute in the Gambia. (WAII)

Ms Fiavor has served on several Committees including the National Road Transport and Transit Facilitation Committee (NRTTFC) chaired by the Ministry of Roads and Highways and Insurance Technical Committees set up by the National Insurance Commission and is currently serving as the Accra Area Manager of SIC Insurance PLC.

MRS. ABENA NTRAKWAH-MENSAH

Independent Non-Executive Director

Abena Ntrakwah-Mensah (Mrs.) is the Managing Partner of Ntrakwah & Co., Legal Practitioners and Consultants. She has more than 22 years’ experience in advising clients. Her expertise spans a wide range of legal areas including mergers and acquisitions, commercial and contractual disputes, labour and employment, corporate transactions, intellectual property and corporate governance.

Abena combines her outstanding record as a litigator and a corporate transactional lawyer with the management of the law firm. She has successfully represented both local and international clients in various legal matters up to the Supreme Court of Ghana.

MR. SEKAR RAMAMOORTHY

Independent Non-Executive Director

Sekar is the current Managing Director -PZ Cussons EA Ltd Kenya & Ghana and holds a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class (Mechanical) from India. He is an accompanied professional with over 37 years of experience in FMCG and engineering projects industry and has held several senior management roles for over 17 years.

He started off as a Management trainee in Tata group India in 1987 and worked on engineering projects for 5 years. He then moved to Hindustan Unilever India for the next 9 years in operations management. He joined PZ Cussons group, UK based FTSE 250 FMCG company with global brands like Imperial Leather, Morning Fresh, Original Source, Cussons Baby etc. in June 2000 and worked in their largest manufacturing site in operations management team at Ikorodu Nigeria.

He has held senior roles in PZ Cussons Nigeria & PZC East Africa Supply Chain organizations for over 10 years. He held the role of SBU head of Supply chain services for 3 years and moved to HPZ (PZ Cussons Appliances JV with Haier) as Commercial Director in 2009, as part of his career progression, and strengthening the management team to meet the growth expectations of the business. He moved to PZ Cussons India in 2013 as Country head and Business unit director to explore and develop the opportunities in South Asia and India working closely with PZ Cussons Indonesia. He joined the PZ Cussons East Africa team in March 2015 as Managing Director. In his new role, Sekar has been focusing on growth opportunities for the Kenya and Exports Markets and streamline the operations by building a strong leadership team.

In June 2020, his role was expanded to lead the Ghana operations along with Kenya to simplify the operations and develop the growth pillars, innovation pipeline and talent development. He is a Director on the board of PZ Cussons Kenya, Ghana and India and also coordinates as Chairman of Multinational companies Caucus of Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM). He enjoys Cricket, adventure sports and travelling to places with family.

MR. RICHARD TWUMASI-ANKRAH

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr. Richard Twumasi-Ankrah graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) Degree in Agriculture (Economics option) in 1987. He also holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Agricultural Economics from the same university since 1999.

He worked at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in Ghana for 32 years where he held the following positions: 1. (1990-1996) Project Economist of the National Agro-forestry Project (FAO-sponsored) and Forest Resources Management Project (World Bank-sponsored). 2. (1999-2005) Project Coordinator of the Special Program for Food Security (SPFS) sponsored by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). 3. (2006-2011) Project Coordinator of the NERICA Rice Dissemination Project (AfDBsponsored). 4. (2014-2017) Project Coordinator of the Rice Sector Support Project (RSSP) sponsored by Agence Française de Développement (AFD). 5. (2017- 2021) Head of Secretariat of Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) Programme.

At the time of his appointment as Board Member of the TOPP Board, he was the Director of the Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate of the ministry. He has also served on other boards such as the Seed Production Division (SPD) of the Ghana COCOBOD.

MR. KWAKU OPPONG-DUAH

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr. Kwaku Oppong-Duah is an experienced Development Banking Professional with proven proficiency in Agricultural Value Chain Financing. He possesses a strong analytical expertise in assessing operational performance, technical, commercial and financial viability of businesses sourcing funds for long term projects. Additionally, he has considerable knowledge in Relationship Management, Risk Assessment and contemporary lending methodologies for the development of Corporate, Retail and SME Clients.

Mr. Kwaku Oppong-Duah has a Master of Microfinance degree from Universita Studi Degli di Bergamo, Italy and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management from Strayer University, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agriculture (Economics) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science.

DR. JOHN AMPONTUAH KUMAH

Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and politician.

He was the Member of Parliament for the Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region, as well as the Vice Chairman of the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, a member of the Appointments Committee, a member of Parliament’s Subsidiary Legislation Committee and the Deputy Minister of Finance.

He was at the forefront of the government’s efforts to create jobs and wealth for Ghanaians through strategic project implementation. Dr. John Kumah holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics with Philosophy and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law, an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Postgraduate Diploma in applied business research from the Nobel International Business School.

In November 2020, he earned a doctorate in business innovation from the Swiss Business School in Switzerland, further solidifying his expertise in the fields of business and entrepreneurship.
